In 2004, SNCM continued its development of shipping services to North Africa.
To Tunisia, the new cruise ferry Danielle Casanova provides regular crossings from Marseille and Toulon with a high standard of comfort and services.
To Algeria, SNCM has increased the number of crossings and is developing links between Marseille and Oran (24h crossing) as well as Skikda and Bejaia.

SNCM provides regular crossings to Porto Torres from Marseille and Corsica (Ajaccio and Propriano) from mid-April to the end of October (2 services a week from mid-May to mid-September).
